We’re not big Halloween people. It’s probably a holiday I could do without. I much prefer Autumn or Fall Festivals over the Halloween part. But, with kids, you just can’t seem to get around it. Thankfully, Halloween here in Britain is still in its infancy. Sadly, most things here are also very gory and not cute for Halloween.
We ended up not spending any money on costumes this year, which was great. The kids just picked from our costume box and were all quite happy and easy to please. Although, Caleb is a boy after my own heart and doesn’t like to dress up. He also doesn’t care to see others in costume. At the church Halloween party, Caleb could be found sitting on the stage . . . eating. The events, other than the trick or treating part, did not excite him. Thus, Caleb is absent from any and all Halloween pictures this year.
Emma went as a graduate (Aunt Cami’s old cap and gown) –

Hannah was a princess –

Cami was an angel –

The kids had a blast at the church party. I didn’t see most of the kids until the night was over. Although, I trailed Cami just to make sure she was okay.
She had a great time doing the donut-on-a-string event.

The sack races were a hit as well (notice her ‘concentration tongue’ is out).

After those festivities, we were glad to close up shop on this holiday. We did hand out candy to trick-or-treaters as they came by on Halloween and listened to all their compliments on our spider pumpkin.
