On precisely February 14th, our little girl discovered she had a loose tooth. She bit into her Valentine chocolate and . . . it moved! Cami was quite excited that she could lose a tooth earlier than any of her other siblings (we won’t tell her Hannah beat her by a couple months).
Wiggling Tooth with Tongue
These last weeks have been trauma as the tooth just would not come out . . . and it hurt . . . and it leans . . . and there’s a gap in it. Every time we offered, she refused our help. It got to the point that the tooth was flying forward if she breathed on it or talked. It was a little unnerving to watch.
Finally, last night Cami was determined to have a visit from the tooth fairy. So, after she brushed her teeth, she asked me to try to pull it out. If it hurt, she’d stop me. So, I twisted the tooth and out it came. Cami didn’t even realize she had lost it! Then the excitement truly started! She had to call Dad to tell him and there was much celebrating!

Tooth in the Pillow
This morning when Cami didn’t see any money on top of her tooth-fairy pillow she thought the tooth-fairy didn’t come; not realizing the tooth-fairy very carefully tucks the money in the pocket where the tooth was. Once that pound fell out of the pocket, she was one happy camper!

In All Her Morning Glory
And, alas, no more tooth trauma . . . until the next loose tooth!
I just want to say that the tooth fairy pillow has gotten lots of use! It still looks great!
