Hannah and Cami have been doing dance with Kalinka Dance Studio for about 2 1/2 years now. Their first show was only a few months after they started and seemed like such a big deal. They each had 2 costume changes and it was a little stressful getting their hair up in buns and their make-up on ‘just so.’
Fast forward two years and we had 2 dancers with 18 costumes between them. Phew!

Hannah made out with the most dances of any of the other girls. She attends her required class and the accompanying group dance class. Then she opted to attend a dance class for older girls. Add on a modern solo and she was up to 10 dances!

Cami was not far behind with 8 dances. She attends her required class, its accompanying group dance class, as well as Hannah’s group dance class. Then add on her classical ballet and modern solos . . .

You can probably tell that between these two girls, they needed their own personal changing assistant. Guess what I did during the 2 1/2 hour show?! We had a lot of fun backstage.
We are grateful for the girls’ dance instructor, Irina, who can get them working like any Russian woman can, but also knows how to let the girls know how she really feels about them.

I’m sure there are many more years of dancing ahead of us . . . .
Becca, we unfortunately didn’t get to know each other too well in NJ, but I randomly stopped by your blog. Wow! What wonderful experiences you and your family are having. I love that you are just experiencing all these unique things and seem so uninhibited. It is amazing. Your kids will be so strong and such individuals from all of it, i am sure!
Best of luck,
Mistie Scott
