I found the most wonderful news this morning – BYU marching band has its own hall now! For those of you who think this is not something to jump up and down over – you must never have been in marching band. While marching band is very fun to be in – great friends, free tickets to all home football games, road trips – it’s also very hard work with not much appreciation. Yes, fans love the marching band because they add spirit to the games but really, most people take that ‘background noise’ for granted. So, I am just happy for those in the BYU marching band this year so they are able to have some appreciation in getting their own hall. Perhaps some of our BYU-fund money helped that happen and I’m just thrilled for them!
