** Update – I actually sat down and did a scrapbook page about swimming lessons already – so I thought I would post it, even though the pics are already below – enjoy! **

For everyone else summer may be half-way done or even almost over, but here at the Stephenson home, summer has just begun! Of course, it’s only a month long but it’s SUMMER and we are all very excited for the break. The kids have swimming lessons all month, which has turned into a wonderful thing as they started this week. Caleb was beside himself with worry as Monday approached but after his first lesson he couldn’t wait for the next day. It’s amazing to me how much the kids have progressed in just 4 short days. Emma is going solo swimming on top of the water (she used to only be able to swim under the water and dog paddle on top); Caleb has lost all fear and showed me today he can float and swim a little bit on his own; Hannah is more of a step-by-step person – the 1st day was hard for her, the 2nd day she allowed the teacher to help her float on her back, the 3rd day she ‘jumped’ in the pool from a sitting position on the side, and today she ‘jumped’ from a squatting position while holding the teacher’s hand. I’m glad we signed up for the whole month rather than the 2 week session.

Of course, Cami and I sit for 1 1/2 hours while the kids swap their lesson times but Cami has been good and if she starts getting irritable we just break out the snacks!

What fun! It looks like everyone is having a great time. I still remember what a blast I had during my own swim lessons, albeit was 20 odd years ago.
We are doing the swimming lesson thing too. Although for us it was every day for a week (summer session) and in the Fall it is once a week for 2-3 months). It sounds like your kids are doing great!
Wow, you’re digi scrapping is really nice! You are making me wish I would/could do this!
