The snow finally melted. Yes, it was on the ground for almost a whole week! I thought it was the perfect winter – snow for Christmas and then gone. No such luck, we’ve had a gusty snow today. Nice to look at from the windows but too windy and cold to go out in.
The kids did get their wish last week during the first snow to go sledding. Chris and I took the kids first thing in the morning when no one else was at the sledding hill. It was great!

The kids were just so happy . . .

even when they wiped out.

Cami braved the sledding hill this year . . .

but was NOT happy about her wipe out!

Not 15 minutes later, Caleb decided to play chicken with Emma as she came down the hill head-first on the sled. Caleb miscalculated, jumped too late, and clocked Emma in the face with his boot. A few minutes of confusion with Emma screaming and yelling and us trying to figure out what happened. Her glasses were completely broken and she had a nice cut on her face.
So, we definitely didn’t have a long sledding experience, but one time down the hill is enough, right?!
