Projects in our house go through a process:
1) Wow! That’s a great idea, I’ll have to do that sometime . . . OR a thought starts brewing and brewing.
2) A few months later I see an item that would work for the project.
3) Stew about buying it and eventually do after at least my 2nd trip out to the store.
4) Project items sit on the floor next to my desk still in the bag with the receipt in case I chicken out on the project.
5) Have a ton of other things I’m trying to avoid doing, so pull out project to start mulling over.
6) FINALLY . . . do it!
After a few months I finally got around to the last step of a shadow box project I wanted to do for Caleb’s first gymnastics season. I actually bought the shadow box while it was on sale and was proud of myself for buying it the first time around without the ‘stewing’ over it.
Having never done a shadow box before, I was happy with the results . . . as was Caleb (which is what really matters in the end).
