Our initial purpose in going to Utah was to attend a Cornell Branch Reunion from our graduate school days. However, with Liza’s endowment and family in town, we decided to extend our Bear Lake stay by a few days and go up early. We rented a cabin and had a great few days planned to hang out with Mom, Dad, and Liza.

Those few days of their stay were doubled when Mom fell while jump roping with the kids and broke both of her wrists. Mom and Dad actually stayed in the Logan area longer than we did as Mom had to have surgery before they could fly home. But, ever resilient and strong, Mom put on a strong front and we all enjoyed our days together relaxing.

Great times, great view, great company ~ I think we may just have to go back!
I am definitely going back to Bear Lake when I can enjoy the water AND the great view.
Hope your mom’s recuperation goes smoothly. John’s mom also broke her arm this summer; very tough on her at 85, but she was a real trooper and took it in stride.
BTW, we also love Uno!
