This last week has been a highlight for the kids. We are still doing swimming lessons but in the afternoons they attended a ‘Pony Share’ class that highlighted learning about ponies, taking care of them, and, of course, riding them. This was sponsored through our town’s recreation center so it was a great opportunity. Not to mention the hour and a half I had by myself just with Cami to run some errands around town!

The kids really enjoyed their three instructors, who were all from France, and were GREAT with the kids. At dinner time the kids always reported what they had learned that day, whether it was the body parts, what grooming brush was for what part of the body, or what saddle they used that day. Caleb and Hannah also thought it was fun when their instructors had them ride backwards to feel the difference in the ponies’ movements. The highlight always seemed to be the end of class when the kids were allowed to ‘treat’ the ponies with carrots and sugar cubes. I have a feeling the kids will be experiencing withdrawal symptoms this week since the class is over!

What a neat experience! I’m sure it’s one they’ll remember for a long time. I love all your fun activities you do with your kids. Fun, fun!
SO cute! That sounds like such fun!
