I had never heard of this book or movie before my mother-in-law sent it to me awhile ago. I finally got around to watching it last night – I planned ahead by starting it right when the kids went to bed because it’s 5 hours, 51 minutes long. You just can’t watch only part of a movie like this – you have to watch the entire thing so you don’t lie awake all night wondering what’s going to happen next. Yes, I got to bed at 3 a.m. but I enjoyed every minute of it and don’t regret the meager hours of sleep I had afterward. If you are a North and South, Pride & Prejudice, or Jane Eyre fan, this one is right up your alley!
