Chris’s good friend from our Cornell days was in London for the weekend with his girlfriend. We jumped at the chance and met them for lunch in Notting Hill to enjoy some great pizza.

Times and places have changed but the comfortable friendship and conversation have not.
Afterward, we took a stroll around town, visited the Portabello Road market (remember ‘Bedknobs and Broomsticks’?) and found The Travel Bookshop from the movie, “Notting Hill.” Of course, we had to go in the bookshop . . . how convenient that we actually needed to pick up a travel book for an upcoming trip (stay tuned) and found exactly what we were looking for.

As we said our goodbyes and made our way back to our car, the kids were enthralled with the interior of this mini parked behind us. It looks like the perfect size car just for them.

It was a quick get-together, but a great day to meet friends and find another hidden trove nearby.
