Each year, the girls’ school puts on a talent show. We did attend last year, just in the audience, but this year we went for our own girls.
Emma and her friend spent months putting together a poster for the advertising contest preceding the actual performance. They were thrilled to find out their poster was one of the finalists and received an award. Even though it didn’t get chosen as the “official poster,” it was still put on display outside the show’s entrance.

Hannah and her friend, Sophie, spent months as well putting together a choreographed dance set to music. It was great to see them perform it. They did a great job in front of the large audience!

Cami, Sophie, Hannah
Cami decided to try out for the show as well, but her performance was a bit easier in the preparation as she used her modern dance that she takes to dance competitions. Thank goodness one thing in our life could suit a double purpose! Cami did a great job and impressed the crowd with her flexibility. For coming across as a relatively shy person, I think many people were surprised at her confidence and ‘professionalism’ on the stage.
It was a really fun night and we were, again, thoroughly impressed with the amount of talent this small school holds – everything from concert violinists to pop guitarists to fashion designers to improv comedy – truly something for everyone.

Show’s Finale
Normally this show doesn’t have an award presented, but because it was the 5th annual show, there was audience voting during the night. The winners were announced the following week. There were 2 places each awarded for lower school, middle school, and high school as well as a ‘mixed’ award. We were so excited to receive an email saying that Cami had actually come in first place for the lower school! She received her first trophy and was very excited!

Hannah and Cami are already planning their acts for the show next year!
