High Tea

Part of the fun of being in a transient area is all ‘the lasts’ when friends leave.  When my good friend, Stephanie, found out they were moving back to the states, one of her ‘lasts’ was going to High Tea with some friends.

There are a number of places to go to High Tea, but Fortnum & Mason was the pick of the day.  Before going in to tea, we snapped a few shots of the bells being rung at noon.

Upon entering the floor where tea is served, the ambience was already being set.  Live music the entire time . . .

It was a great day out with some amazing women.  It was great to visit with them while we ate.

I had never been to a proper English tea before and fell in love with their homemade scones.  They were delish!

The sweets were good as well, but I could have sat and just eaten scones all afternoon.

My meal portion of tea was asparagus with hollaindaise sauce.  It was very good!

It was a wonderful afternoon out and I was so glad to get to spend time with these great ladies (3 of which will move back to the states at the beginning of summer)!
