The movie and experience has overtaken us all. If you haven’t seen the movie by Disney, the kids would highly recommend it (OK, Becca and I really enjoyed it too). In true Disney fashion, the movie has created a franchise in which you can take part in the experience in so many different ways.
We watched the movie as a family a few weeks ago based on rave reviews and a top selling album in 2006. Emma followed by buying the CD and now we all know the songs by heart (this is a testament to the playtime this has in our house). Fortunately, the CD also includes karaoke versions of each song, so now in addition to the regular songs we also have Emma’s renditions. If that were not enough, she has choreographed each song in imitation to the dancers on the movie. Luckily, she has a brother who can both carry a tune and dance with her.
We will save the kids’ version of the movie for a later performance, but we would recommend the movie to anyone with young kids. Just beware – it could motivate them to spontaneously break into song and dance.
I have been curious about this movie….wondering if it was really appropriate for my girls….but if the Stephensons have seen it….I guess Ill give it a go!!!!
Aunt Martha watched it with Gavin and Mason last year, and they too loved it. Their favorite song is “Get your Head in the Game”. It is such a fun movie!!!
