Coming back the Saturday night before Father’s Day made it a busy day. It’s funny to look back on all of Chris’s Father’s Days through the years – we are either moving or he was gone for his internship or some other busy event was going on. It never fails. So, Chris didn’t get a homemade breakfast before he left for his 6:30 a.m. church meetings. We did wish him a happy Father’s Day on the ride to church when he picked us up. Then at home Chris was actually able to take a nap which is what he said he wanted more than anything. He got to wake up to dinner being put on the table with one of his favorites – chicken rolls! I made a new dessert that we all really liked. You can check it out here.

Then the kids enjoyed giving Chris their gifts of shoes and two shoe trees – pretty exciting, huh? But, that’s what he had asked for.

I made my dad a bookmark for Father’s Day. He likes to get one about once a year so he has updated pictures on it to look at in his scriptures. This is the one I made this year . . .

We hope everyone had a great Father’s Day!
How funny! That is the cake I was going to make for Father’s Day/Coen’s B-day, too! Had it planned out for several weeks. Then the kids voted on ice-cream cone cupcakes at the last minute instead. I’ll have to try it one of these days. Yummy! I love your bookmark, too. It looks so classy and professional!
We tried the cake recipe, and it’s a keeper!!!!
