Hannah turned 7 years old on Tuesday. She had a few days worth of birthday celebrations and just ate up the excitement!
Thursday:

Our good friend, Bonnie, took Hannah out to paint pottery. They had a blast and were excited about their projects.

Friday:

Seven is the magic age in this house for piercing ears. Hannah wasn’t sure she wanted to go through with it but decided a few days earlier that she did.

Come to find out, it really doesn’t hurt as much as you think it will!

Hannah chose her birthstone for her earrings. She’s really enjoying them so far.
Sunday: Bonnie and Russ had us over for dinner and surprised Hannah with a special birthday treat of mint brownies.

The missionaries stopped by and helped in the serenade.

Tuesday: Hannah’s “actual” birthday

We went to the movies as her special outing. No, we didn’t see a chipmunk movie but the kids wanted their picture taken with them. We actually saw “Planet 51” and the kids really liked it.

Hannah chose to go to a steakhouse for her birthday dinner. Afterward we asked the waiter if he had a candle to stick in Hannah’s ice cream, which he was happy to do. Then our little family quietly sang to her before she blew it out.

Finally, to cap the night off happily, Hannah opened up her last gift to find the American Girl Doll, Julie, who has been on her wish list for some time now. She couldn’t stop saying ‘thank you’ before she went off to bed. I think she was happy.
Happy birthday, Hannah!!
