Caleb is officially the big 1-0. For some reason, we’ve thought of him as 10 years old for ages so it’s nice to make it official.
Caleb is our low-key child. With 3 girls who aren’t, it’s nice to have one child who takes the curve the other way. To celebrate his birthday, Caleb wanted to take cupcakes to the gym to share with his friends and then see a movie as a family. Easiest birthday celebration of the year! We all loved it . . because there was absolutely no stress involved! However, it was still a full day for Caleb.
The play by play:
7:00 a.m.: Wake up with excitement
8:00 a.m.: Open birthday presents, eat breakfast
9:00 a.m.: Go to Lego Store (our gift to him was his choice of something at the Lego store within a certain budget)
11:00 a.m.: Lunch of homemade baked potato soup and croissants (his chosen birthday meal) with cupcakes and ice cream for dessert
12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Practice at the gym
7:30 p.m.: Family movie – Tangled 3-D
10:30 p.m.: Family birthday greetings over the phone
One long day for our decade-ian, but he said he had a great day and is looking forward to what this year will bring!
