Hannah has been ready to turn 12 for a long time. It’s always an awkward age as you are the oldest in the kids’ activities, but not quite old enough for the teen experiences. Now . . . bring on the youth programs and Rated 12 UK movies!

Hannah
Hannah may consider herself a middle child, as she is the middle girl, but she is not hiding between anyone. She has decidedly made her mark in life, finding her interests and hobbies, ranging from one spectrum to another.

Full Middle School Soccer Team
Always one to be active and involved in any sport, Hannah tried out for the soccer team again this year. She had a great time being with her friends, but also loved improving her skills.

With Friends
Part way through the season, Hannah was asked to play on the ‘A Team.’ She learned a lot from the older girls and became more fearless in attacking the ball.

‘A Team’
We can’t wait to see what next year’s soccer season brings!

“Good Game”
After soccer season, Hannah dove into basketball season. It was her first time playing and she learned a lot, improving as the season went on.

‘B Team’ Basketball Game
Stepping out of sports, Hannah loves to draw and create. She still takes piano lessons and has even started playing the trombone in the middle school band. If there is anything about the trombone she doesn’t like, it would be having to carry it around. More often than not, it stays at the school.

Middle School Band Concert
This year Hannah also tried out for the middle school play, “The Actor Games” and was one of the hosts.

Hosting the ‘Actor Games’
For Hannah’s actual birthday, she wanted to have a family outing and go bowling.

Bowling ‘Selfie’
Emma came with us bowling but she is at a stage that we tend to embarrass her. So, many times Emma chooses not to join in but sits and reads her book, pretending she doesn’t know us. But, she was there with us . . . and even bowled!

Cami’s Ballerina Form
Bowling is a favorite activity for most of us. We feel like we have to improve our game for our big Stephenson Reunions. We spent a lot of time working on our ‘forms’ during Hannah’s evening out.

Caleb’s Form
We had a great night, although there were some disappointing shots. It was still a fun time before we headed over to Chiquito’s to eat.

Missed Shot
A birthday isn’t complete without cake and presents. Hannah chose to have cupcakes, which proved a little difficult to get all 12 candles on it!

Opening Gifts
Hannah received clothes, books, an olive wood Young Women’s statue from Jerusalem, and a ‘new’ phone (hand-me-down from her parents).

Lovely Gifts
After becoming ‘official,’ Hannah was excited to start attending the weekly youth activities at the church. Her first one was ice skating with the Young Women at the Natural History Museum.

Then the next Saturday, we took the time to go to the London Temple with all three of our youth to do baptisms for the dead. It was fun to be there for Hannah’s first time and be able to do some family names. Only 3 more years until we can go with all 4 of the kids! I can’t wait!

Baptisms at London Temple
We are so grateful for Hannah and all the variety she brings into our family. She is helpful, kind, caring, goal-driven, and a hard worker. We love you!
Happy Birthday, Hannah!
