We left Presidents’ Day weekend open but had an unwelcome guest – the flu bug!! After this visit, we are true believers in the flu shot! Friday morning I woke up not being able to move, wondering how I was going to get through the day with Chris at work. I actually cried after he left – yes, one of those proud mom moments. “Thankfully” just a couple hours after being at work Chris started to not feel very good and came home. I would not have made it through the day without him! He was able to stay vertical for most of the day but was on his back Saturday with me as well. Emma stepped up and did a good job taking care of what she could but that only goes so far with a fussy toddler who just wants her parents.
We went through the motions at church today, not having anyone to call to fulfill our responsibilities, and came home to crawl back into bed. Now I’m feeling a little better and Chris is feeling a little worse. Hopefully we’ll be able to get this unwelcome guest out the door by Monday night!
Good luck! Sometimes he sticks around for over a week! There is nothing fun about the flu…that is for sure!
Oh, so sorry you are sick! I hope you get to feeling better soon!
WOW! That sounds really rough. I hope you are feeling better. Nothing worse than feeling extra yucky and having to still take care of everyone’s needs.
That flu bug made his rounds at our house the last couple weeks. I can’t remember the last time I had the flu and this little bugger got us ALL! All 5 of us down at once. Fevers, coughs, aches, you know…the works! It’s been miserable. I think I’m the only one left. I just can’t seem to get my ears unclogged and my sinuses drained. Soooo miserable. I’ve never heard of so many people getting the flu as this year! It must have been a bad one this year! I hope you all get to feeling better! No fun to be sick!
