Dad and I flew into New Jersey on our way to drop me off at IGC (International Gymnastics Camp) in Pennsylvania. On our way, we stopped by our old house and had a look. Nothing much had changed.

We drove on to Pennsylvania and stayed with my mom’s aunt and her family. Dad and I really enjoyed using their pool table during our stay.

Us with the Dickinson Family
We arrived at gym camp on Sunday afternoon, in time for check-in.

After dropping off my stuff at my cabin, Dad and I explored the gyms . . . there are 5 gyms in all!

My Cabin, Counselors, and Week’s Celebrities
On the first day of camp we had a screening on three different apparatus – pommel, high bar, and floor. Our score on those put us into different groups. I was in Group 2 with all Americans and one boy from Singapore. I got an award at the end of the week for being the Most Dedicated Gymnast in my group for the week.

My Training Group
Each week IGC has celebrities come in to help train us. During my week we had Josh Dixon, John Orozco, Svetlana Boginskaya, Vitaly Marinitch, and Alex Naddour. Brandon Wynn was also there for part of the week. I got to work with him a lot on pommel.

Weekly Celebrities
I really liked working with Brandon Wynn because he helped me to push myself further than I thought I could.

Working with Brandon Wynn on P-bars
My favorite part of the days was when we had recreation time. This was the time that we had to ourselves to just socialize.

Saying Goodbye to My Cabin Mates
When Dad came to pick me up Saturday morning, we had some time before our flight to California so we drove to Philadelphia to see some sites.

Independence Hall
It was really cool to see the Liberty Bell and walk around.

I can’t wait until next year at IGC – I want to go for two weeks!! It was a blast!
