Father’s Day 2011

On a rare occasion the UK celebrates the same holiday as the US.  Such was the case with Father’s Day.

Our Sundays have gotten a lot more busy these last couple months, but we used what time we had to celebrate.  We spent some time in the morning opening gifts.  Many were to help him be prepared for an upcoming holiday (hiking trousers, Nordic walking sticks, etc.).  The kids were so excited to give Chris their gifts, as they were all handmade from their days in flexi-school.  It was a treat to see their creativity come through differently.

In the evening we enjoyed a yummy dinner of chicken rolls with a dessert of apple crisp a la mode.

We are so thankful for Chris and all that he sacrifices for us.  He does an amazing job in everything he gets involved in and always seems to have the stamina for it all.  We are truly blessed to have him in our lives!
