When we first moved to London, Hannah and Cami wanted to try ballet. Thankfully it’s at Caleb’s gym and it worked perfectly into our schedule.
Cami was thrilled as she was told she has the perfect ballerina feet, being wide in all the right places. Hannah has tried so hard during her classes that her teacher has moved her up three times already to other classes. She also asked Hannah to participate in a special dance group that performs for the Russian consulate. Needless to say, the girls are loving it.

(on our way out the door to the show)
Last weekend they had their first dance recital. There were mixed reactions. Hannah was nervous as she had 5 different dances and costume changes. She was afraid she’d forget something, but she was amazing. Cami, on the other hand, was more than excited about the show and had a countdown leading up to the day. THEN, we arrived at the show and she saw the other girls’ costumes, and it was a different story. She didn’t want to wear the yellow leotard, she wanted the PURPLE one with the skirt attached! There were tears and tantrums until I was more than happy to leave her in the ‘green room’ with the other little ones.

The show, in itself, was amazing. Hannah remembered all her dances and had no problems with costume changes. Cami loved being a star and doing the ‘chicken dance.’ The night was a success!
How fun for your girls! Love their costumes. I had to laugh at Cami and her meltdown over costume color. Edyn would have done the same thing.
Oh so exciting! And wow, go Hannah, sounds like a professional in the making if you ask me : ). I’ll have to be sure and schedule our eventual visit around a dance performance!
This is soo great! I love dance, the performances, everything. I hope Hannah keeps it up. I hope Cami realizes that yellow is the best color and it is dreamy to have perfect ballet feet.
Was it all ballet?
