We took a short trek today to a neighboring county’s zoo. It’s a quaint little zoo that is open year round, but, of course, not all the animals are out when it’s cool outside. The best part is it is free until May and even then it’s free two days of the week!

Emma was in her element as she loves animals! She did have a few favorites though, the donkey rating right there at the top (since it’s the closest thing they had to a horse) with the tamarin monkey and sheep not too far behind.

Caleb and Hannah were just happy to be outside doing something fun. But, Cami didn’t want to leave her stroller. If Caleb wheeled her too close to an animals pen or cage, she got scared and let us all know.

There is also a huge park right next to the zoo. It’s basically 3 large parks in one, each area designated for different age groups. The older 3 were running all over the park and enjoying themselves.

Cami was more cautious and because of the large amount of people enjoying the warm weather, stuck close to me. I thought we were doing really well when she finally decided to go down the slide by herself.

I’m so glad we got out to enjoy the nice weather as we’re expecting more rain the rest of the week!
