Last Friday we ventured out to East London (2 hours away) for Caleb’s first gymnastics competition of the year. However, it wasn’t a ‘real’ competition as Caleb isn’t ‘English’ and wouldn’t be able to place. We knew that and Caleb was just using it for the experience, as there aren’t very many competitions or even a ‘gymnastics season’ here.
Caleb’s coach has been pushing Caleb with the routines for this competition as they could make up their own. The level of difficulty was quite high . . . mixed with nerves didn’t go over very well. But, it was fun to watch him compete and see how much he has improved since the last time we saw him compete.
His best piece of the evening was rings, where he would have placed 4th, if he could have placed.
Awesome, Caleb!!!
Wow! He is sooo strong! I couldn’t imagine doing that!
Soooo goooood! I’m so impressed!
Caleb, you are awesome!
