This summer Emma asked if she could sell Lemonade on the street to make some extra money. Partly for selfish reasons, so we wouldn’t have to stand at the street with her lemonade venture, we suggested she find something different. Thus was born “Emma’s Kitchen”.

Becca taught Emma how to bake bread (with some supervision of course) and she has built a small clientele of family friends who now order on a regular basis (thank you to all those who have placed orders and keep coming back for more). Emma now receives weekly orders of anywhere from 5-12 loaves of fresh homemade bread. It has taught her responsibility among many other useful skills. She has done a great job and we are proud of her for all her work.
What a fantastic idea… dont be surprised if I steal this one for Darby to do! Love it! I should have done it in Mexico because every time I took my foccacia bread anywhere people would freak out at how yummy it was…I could have started a business! But I love the values that “work” teaches children at so young an age.
I think you should – I LOVED your foccacia bread when we had it for dinner at your place. Start small and build up 🙂
