This was a big summer for Emma, in more ways than one. She was old enough for EFY (Especially for Youth)! We took advantage of being in the states and registered her for one in Salt Lake City, Utah. It also helped that Aunt Eliza was visiting us right beforehand and could fly out to Salt Lake with her.

Emma had a great week with a good group of kids. She wasn’t nervous at all about attending without knowing anyone. That is one quality that I really admire about her – she is comfortable almost wherever she is. She stretched herself by going out of her comfort zone to participate in the EFY choir during the week, but had a great time doing it with one of her new friends.

Emma was more than excited to find that John Bytheway was one of the speakers at her EFY location. It was a fight to get into his classes as he’s a popular youth speaker, but Emma was able to attend a couple of his classes . . . and get a picture with him!
