Today was the day – Chris’s younger brother, Jed, entered the MTC (Mission Training Center) in Provo, UT. He will be serving 2 years in Calgary, Alberta, Canada speaking English. He is very nervous, but what young man (or young woman) isn’t when they give up 2 years (or 18 months) of their lives to share something they care so much about with people they have never met. Jed will do a great job and have a lot of great experiences to share. We can’t wait to hear all about it.
I made this bookmark for him to carry in his scriptures. [I’m assuming he won’t be checking our blog since I haven’t been able to get this sent off to him yet.] The two pictures are ones we took of him in 2000 while we were at a family reunion on the west coast. They are some of my favorites because they are so candid. The quote I found here by Elder Bruce R. McConkie. I thought it was very well put and I hope it gives him strength.

Becca, I really love the bookmark! That is such a great idea!
Wow! What a neat bookmark! I love that quote and the pictures are awesome! It’s perfect!
WOW! What an incredible bookmark. Great Job!
Your bookmarks are always so creative!!! I really like this one, and I’m sure Jed will cherish and appreciate it also.
