Decorating Pumpkins

kids-pumpkins.jpg

After Sunday dinner, Chris and I wearily looked at each other as we were both thinking the same thing – we still had to get through Family Home Evening.  We love Family Home Evening but Caleb was in charge and we were carving pumpkins.  Carving 3-4 pumpkins takes more than an hour and we didn’t have that much time.  So, we decided to decorate without all the mess.  The kids cut features from magazines or made them out of construction paper.  Then we hot-glued everything on the pumpkins, tying on ribbons as a final touch.  I thought they turned out really cute and the kids were able to use their creativity more under their own power.
