Christmas Eve was full of hopes that Father Christmas would find us in London. Even though there were some fears he wouldn’t, we still threw ourselves into the preparations.
The morning was spent with Chris and I taking turns going out to finish last minute shopping. We also took some time to narrow down some rentals Chris had gone to look at the day earlier. We decided on one, sent an offer, and it was accepted! So, we’ll move in as soon as our stuff makes it across the ocean – probably the end of January.
We also attempted to make our traditional rolls, but were crossing our fingers they would turn out using lard instead of shortening (because we couldn’t find any) and no measuring cups or spoons. Cami was the #1 helper as her favorite job is to stir whatever we are making.

Our lovely spread of baked potato soup and rolls:

After dinner the kids started tracking Santa.

They started to panic hearing that he was ahead of schedule so we quickly got through our traditional things: acting out the nativity story, opening pajamas, and reading a traditional Christmas story.

Not to forget the cookies and milk, along with some notes. Caleb really wanted his signature this year.

Merry Christmas!
