Celebrity Library Reading

My friend called me last night to tell me Stephen Colbert was reading at a local library today and we HAD to go (he lives in the area).  Embarrassingly enough, I asked, “Who is he?”  She tried to explain him to me, but not having any form of TV programming at home, I had no clue.  However, when she showed me one of his books this morning and I saw his picture, I could place him.

The kids enjoyed attending his story time as he read Ferdinand by Munro Leaf.

I loved the chair they had for him to sit in.

I think it would be so fun to have one just like it at home – it was big enough for a family story time!

It’s always fun to learn there is a ‘celebrity’ in your midst.  I think the parents were a little more excited to see him than the kids were, but he had a great sense of humor that the kids appreciated.
