Caleb was able to be baptized the Saturday after his birthday. He had invited some of his teammates from the gym and some special people he knows from church, but even more people showed up from our branch. We were really surprised and touched with everyone that came to support him.
The grandmothers gave the prayers, the grandfathers gave the talks, and the family did a musical number. Chris was able to baptize Caleb and confirm him a member of the Church. It was such a special time and we are so thankful for this important step Caleb has taken for himself.
Afterward we had a small reception in the cultural hall. I had made cupcakes, poppy seed bread, and mint chocolate cookies as Caleb had requested. Then others were so kind and contributed cookies and doughnuts. One of my friends, who isn’t a member of the Church, made little chocolates with praying hands on them. On the back of each bag was Caleb’s name and his baptismal date. We were so touched by everyone’s help in everything.
