Chris happened to be in the states for work over the long May Day holiday weekend. We were all feeling a little bit jealous of his time there . . . . until we went to church on Sunday!

Our friend, Amy, and her daughter, Kennedy, were visiting from Texas! They showed up at church without telling us they were coming and it was a great surprise!

Amy and Kennedy were on a girls’ trip exploring England. It was great to spend some time reminiscing about years past and to see them. It helped us get out of our May Day Holiday blues!
Monday dawned sunny and warm . . . a perfect day for the park.

We ventured out to Richmond Park and rented some bikes. It had been almost 4 years since the kids had been on any type of a bike . . . and I don’t even remember the last time I was on a bike! It took us a little while to not feel shaky, but our hour rental time seemed to fly by!

It was the perfect May Day day-out! Next time we hope Chris will be in the country to enjoy it with us!
Wow Becca. Your kids are getting so big! Emma’s as tall as you. 🙂 I bet that was fun to have friends visit. Maybe someday we’ll make it across the ocean and visit England.
