If it isn’t gymnastics, we’re busy with ballet. Thankfully, the girls are able to take ballet at the same gym Caleb attends. Both Cami and Hannah love it so much that they are in two classes each a week. Hannah still can’t get enough of it so she goes into Cami’s classes and volunteers as a ‘teacher’s assistant.’
Something new that we have experienced since arriving in the UK is that each sport or ‘hobby’ seems to have an attached grade with it. In order to go to the next level, you have the pass the ‘grade.’ The girls had their ballet grades the beginning of December and did well. Ms. Irina, their teacher, had a small parent day so we could see what the girls have learned and see them receive awards for doing well in their grades.
It was great to see the Cami in a formal class. She takes it very seriously, can you tell?

Of course, even ballet needs enough concentration to include the tongue sticking out!

Cami passed off two grade levels so she was able to get two rosettes for passing them.

This sash hangs proudly in Cami’s room.

Hannah tied for the highest score in her grades. I think she surprised Ms. Irina, as it was her first time ever to do grades.

Hannah is part of a performance class that performs for different events in London. Most of these events are Russian, as Ms. Irina and most of the girls’s families from Hannah’s class are from that area.

A couple weeks ago we had the opportunity to go to Earl’s Court Exhibition Center to see Hannah and her group perform. They did a great job!

Any doubt what country’s tourism they were promoting?!
Hannah looks so pretty dressed in her Russian costume. So, any plans to visit Russia next? 🙂
Oh, that first picture is so incredibly cute. That is so great that both girls are doing so well in dance. Way to go Hannah and Cami!! I can’t wait to get Annie into something like that, hopefully when we move. I think she seems more inclined to gymnastics though (she has amazing balance and way too much energy..she might be a tumbler). 🙂
