It seems that General Conference time always involves baking. Eating and General Conference are just synonymous in our house.
Now that we are time zones away from Utah, we don’t watch General Conference until the day is almost over. So, instead of making a fun breakfast, we need to think of fun snacks to make. This year we tried pretzels and they were a hit!

Pre-Baked Pretzels
They were fun to make and very yummy to eat!

And sometimes our breakfast traditions are too ingrained, we can’t get away from doing those too. This General Conference, the kids voted for Monkey Bread (not the recipe we use, but the closest I could find to it). We usually rotate among Monkey Bread, Cinnabon Rolls, and Sticky-buns.

Then, after General Conference, just because we were in the baking mood, Caleb insisted we try Baked Donuts. Wow! We are hooked – these were SO good! We’ll definitely be making these again . . and they are baked, NOT fried!

Cinnamon/Sugar Donuts
We start Easter Holiday Break next week and I’m sure we’ll be spending some of that time in the kitchen!
These all look good! We always do monkey bread or cinnamon rolls for conference, too. I definitely want to try those pretzels and baked donuts. Thanks for sharing!
