A Successful Day for Dance

Two days after returning from Singapore, Cami had a dance competition.  Without having practiced with her teacher for two weeks, Cami was a little nervous.  Add on the fact that her teacher put her in the age group division above hers (due to the fact that she was continually marked down for doing more advanced dances in her own division), Cami was a nervous wreck!

Cami went on stage and showed a lot of confidence, even though she went too fast towards the end, but she remained calm and waited out the music in her final pose.  Everything must have worked out because she placed 2nd.  She was beyond thrilled, especially since she knew that she had rushed – at least the judge didn’t know that!

Two other girls from Cami’s dance class came in 1st and 3rd in their division.  Irina couldn’t have been more proud.  It was a good day for Kalinka Dance!
