Cami was acting tired this morning so I went to put her down for her morning nap. Nothing out of the ordinary – she fussed for a little bit after she realized I was done singing to her. After I had done a couple things on my ‘to-do’ list I realized Cami’s cries were getting to sound more frustrated than sad. So, I went to see her. This is what I found . . .

I don’t think the pictures do this situation justice. The breathable bumper pad (which we have loved!) was pulled off, the sheet was pulled off half the mattress as well as the mattress PAD!! This is actually the 3rd time she has done this when I’ve tried to put her down for her morning nap. She seems to go a little bit farther each time. I know she was tired because when I put the crib back together she wanted to nurse and was out in an instant! We may be close to one nap a day already!!
The moods changed after Cami’s afternoon nap though when she saw our old car seat washed and ready for her use. She has been ready to move out of her infant carrier car seat but I’ve been holding out. So, after measuring the straps for proper fit, Cami was not about to leave her new ‘toy’.

ohhh kids hey! We are lucky to get Hattie down for 1 nap a day. She seems to get about 4 naps a week total. And how I love it when she does!
I remember a little girl some years ago that did not like to take naps at all – she would only sleep in her swing until she could crawl and we couldn’t put her in it anymore. Then she would only nap if she was rocked to sleep. And woke up if you put her in her crib!! She loved to ride in the car, though, and took many a nap while her mother cruised town.
