The girls had a Girl Scout outing last night to see the musical “Annie” at a local private high school. I had the opportunity to go with them and we had a great girls’ night out. The music was great – many of those kids had spectacular voices! The audience fell in love with Sandy, the dog. How many high school plays have a trained dog in them?! One of those pluses for being close to NYC.
The show didn’t start until 8:00 p.m. and after having gymnastics right before, Hannah was tired. She fell asleep towards the end and when we got into the car, she was out like a light again! But, Emma was enthralled in the entire musical and caught all the little funny comments they put in. She couldn’t stop giggling. I love to catch those moments when you know your kids really connect with events, activities, etc. She is definitely our child who loves to perform!
