We woke up to a ‘Winter Wonderland’ this morning. The local schools were canceled so we decided we could do a half-day of school ourselves to enjoy the snow outside. As soon as Cami went down for her morning nap, the rest of us went outside to shovel. This quickly turned into Mom shoveling while the kids played. They all had a great time diving into fresh snow mounds, throwing snow on each other, and building snowmen. After all the shoveling was done we all worked on one large snowman, which we affectionately named ‘Prince Frost’. He is a one-of-a-kind snowman with a big ‘stick-y’ smile, leaf hair, and acorn eyes.

After lunch we all ventured out to the park next door to do some sledding. Of course, having a day out of school, there were a number of kids doing the same thing, but we had a great time. Cami even took a couple turns sledding down with either Mom or Emma and she loved it.
A day out of the house in the snow was definitely worth it to see the HUGE smiles on the kids’ faces today. They were truly in a heavenly ‘Winter Wonderland’.
Looks like you had fun!! We miss the snow and sledding, I’m glad you are able to enjoy it for us.
