One of the bonuses of being in the states was being closer to my family, as well as Chris’s. Two of my sisters came out for a few days over the 4th of July holiday – Martha from San Diego and Eliza from Salt Lake City.

One of the best things about their visit was meeting one of the two nephews we hadn’t met yet. Martha and Shaun had Baby James in March when they first moved to San Diego.

It was so fun for all of us to hang out with James. He is such a cute little guy!
We filled our few days with lots of fun activities, but making sure we still had some time to relax. We kicked off with visiting the Jelly Belly Factory.
We hadn’t been in years, and it’s a lot more commercialized than it was then, so it was a lot of fun to experience it all over again in a new way. Of course coming home with many bags of Jelly Flops was still one of the best parts of the visit!
After our Tour
One of our days was spent at the mall shopping with a little bit of pampering on the side. Hannah and Cami were excited to get their own manicures, but even more excited about the little flowers that were put on after the color.
