We participated in a homeschool craft/bake sale a few weeks ago and life has been full-tilt since then. I couldn’t let it slip away from our memories by not recording it.
This is the 3rd year for the sale. We participated the first year with some random baked good we threw together, like bread, cookies, and brownies. We were out of town last year so decided we needed to improve our ‘game’ for this year’s sale. We spent the week preparing molded candies and popsicles. Remember those apple prints we did? We made those into cards (courtesy of Lee Press’s ideas)! Of course, we still made our bread, as it already had a reputation and included bran muffins.

We had a great day – meeting new friends, hanging out with ‘old’ friends, and enjoying a warm fall day.

The kids had fun perusing the other sales. The favorite tables were those with prisms, jewelry, and popsicle stick boats. Hannah and Cami both found necklaces that they couldn’t do without.

Emma bought a prism and decided right away to try to get a return on her investment by telling fortunes. Hmm.

I felt flattered when one of the lady’s came back to our table towards the end and said our table was the most ‘crafty’ and ‘well-planned out’ table. It made my day! Of course, making $48.00 was pretty exciting for all of us as well, especially since we sold out of everything but some molded candies. I think next year we will have to make more bread!
