Caleb and I just returned home from Philadelphia where we spent the night at the Franklin Institute museum at a “camp-in” with Caleb’s cub scout troop. We were told that 750 people (mostly young kids) spent the night at the museum, participating in activities until very late night.

We started the night with a small science show and introduction. After the opening, Caleb and I spent the rest of the evening visiting the exhibits and searching for clues on a science scavenger hunt. To end the night we finished with an IMAX movie about the Mars Rover. It was a fantastic and eventful night that wore us both out.
We spent the night on the floor of the Sports Challenge exhibit – in fact, of all the places in the building this was the only one with a semi-soft floor consisting of astro-turf. The kids took awhile to settle down, but once Caleb laid down near midnight he was out in an instance. This morning we were treated to breakfast and attended the planetarium for a wonderful show. We both had a wonderful time, but can’t wait to go on a “camp-out” together. Then again, we won’t have astro-turf on the next trip.
Great to see you guys have a family site…. I’m excited to keep on hearing about your news.
Fun! I just checked to see if anything was new-and there was. How fun for Caleb!
