Caleb was really into Easter this year and could hardly contain his excitement. Before going to bed, he decided he’d write a note to the Easter Bunny (remember, he’s the ‘king of notes’) and leave out some carrots for him in case he was hungry. Caleb REALLY wanted to know how he was able to get into our house. The Easter Bunny did leave a reply!

The kids woke up to new Easter outfits from Mom and Dad. They were all excited to model their new clothing – our kids love getting ready for church!

After getting completely ready for church, we were ready to check out what havoc the Easter Bunny created the night before. It turns out there were eggs all over the living room . . . even one specifically with each child’s name on it.

Inside of those specific eggs were the beginning of each of their own private scavenger hunts to find their Easter treats. Of course, we had to start with Cami and move on through the ranks until we got to Emma’s turn but they were all very patient and eager to assist the others while they searched for their next egg with their next clue in it.

This year the Easter Bunny had the kids running all over the 4 levels of the house. Finally the kids each found their gifts from the Easter Bunny. Cami’s was hiding in the bean bag chair pile in the family room; Hannah’s was hiding in the scary basement bathroom; Caleb’s was in Chris’s car trunk; and Emma’s was hiding in our water cooler for camping up in the attic. Phew! Chris and I were worn out after that!!!

We had a great time at church having District Conference. The General Authority who came was AMAZING! Chris and I both loved him and his wife. We learned a lot from Elder Christensen’s talks. Chris had more of an insight into the whole conference since he is in the district presidency and it was great to talk afterwards about the amazing experience – logging it into our ‘never forget’ and ‘learn from’ experiences.
We came home from church to have a relaxing afternoon and later enjoyed a ham dinner with all the fixings – ham with ham sauce, salad, potatoes, homemade rolls, and our holiday drink of cranberry juice mixed with ginger ale. Hannah wanted to help with everything . . and she did a great job!

I had planned to make a new dessert but realized as I was setting out the ingredients, I had misread the recipe. I needed 4 PACKAGES of cream cheese, not 4 OUNCES!! So, needless to say, we went dessert-less, but we were too full after dinner to enjoy any dessert anyway.
We hope you had a wonderful Easter too!
