Thanksgiving in the UK is just another day. However, we took the day off of our normal school routine and Chris took the day off of work. We spent a relaxing day cooking and baking in preparation for our big feast.
The food was delicious . . .

We had so many things to be grateful for:

Leaves from our ‘Grateful Tree’
One of those things is definitely our friends here in London. There are so many in our ward that are in the same situation as we are – living far from family in a different country. This creates a special bond and it’s fun to celebrate that. A couple of our friends hosted a ‘Pie Night’ after Thanksgiving since you are usually too full from dinner to truly enjoy the pies. It was a great treat and a perhaps a great tradition to start ourselves!
