Medieval Times

Since we have two birthdays in October (Dad and Emma) we decided to celebrate as a family at a local fun center called Medieval Times. The event includes a staged medieval battle with real jousting, sword fighting, and horses within an indoor ring. During the show we were served food in metal bowls and plates.

You should have seen the kids’ eyes light up as the horses ran around the ring, as the knights fought each other with real swords and spears, all the time wielding shields. At one point in the show Becca mentioned that she was not understanding the plot, when Emma filled her in on everything that was happening. Needless to say, we experienced renewed vigor at play sword fighting in our home for some time after the show. The kids loved every minute.
