Emma saw an idea in one of our ‘kid cookbooks’ to make a menu. I think this had something to do with making leftovers fun. Well, Chris wasn’t here for dinner tonight and I decided we had enough of an assortment of leftovers in the refrigerator to please all of us so it was leftover night – yes, even on a Sunday! So, Emma whipped out the menu she had made a few days ago, updating it with everything we had in the fridge and ‘ta da’ – a fun filled dinner with Mom being the waiter.

The kids loved being able to ‘order’ as I wrote everything down. Thank goodness they ordered an appetizer of chips and salsa while I got everyone’s meals heated up!
That is so cute. I am always amazed at how creative your kids are. They are fantastic. Is there any better appetizer than chips and salsa??
What a fun idea! My kids would love this. I think we’ll have a “leftover night” this week.
That is so cute! I love the menu idea, as long as they don’t make up the menu with things we don’t have or I don’t really want to make. Know what I mean? Leftover night is the best!
