Ireland – Day 4

Another day of driving, but with the weather sunny and warm, we enjoyed rolling down the windows, cruising through the small back roads and feeling the cool breeze. Today we made our way from the Dingle area north to Ennis, a small town near an area called the Burren.

The highlight of the day was our visit to the Cliffs of Moher. These rise about 650 feet above the Atlantic Ocean for approximately 5 miles. We hiked along the top of the cliffs for a small bit, but really enjoyed just sitting at the top and looking down at the water.

We finished by driving to Poulnabrone Dolmen, a four thousand year old stone “table” that was once a grave chamber. We ended the day with a nice stroll and stay in Ennis, a small town in the vicinity.
