Ah, we have waited, what seems, like a long time to say those words. But, as of today, Chris and I both commented that we feel settled. We have hung up pictures, hidden away items that have no home, and bought a couple plants.
Without further ado, welcome to our home . . .

Come on in for a tour . . .

This is our entry way, leading out back to the kitchen.

Off to the left of the entry way, we have our little office, which is stashed with lots and lots of homeschooling materials.

Off to the right of the entry way, we have our living room, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite rooms.
If you would just walk into the living room, you will see our dining room:

Yes, the colors are not distorted in the pictures. There was a blue fireplace in the living room and a green fireplace just down the wall from it. Interesting, no? Just adds personality. Wait until we get upstairs!

Through the door from the dining room, we have the kitchen.

We still have a tiny little washing machine tucked up next to the sink back there. We also have a dryer, which is hidden behind the refrigerator. Oh, pardon me, that is called an “American Refrigerator” because it is so big. It’s crammed full of food all the time so I don’t know how families here would survive with a small one.
Let’s go upstairs, shall we? Back to the entryway . .

Watch your step . . . okay, here to the left of the landing we have our bonus room.

That cute little ladder goes up to a little loft area where we have the kids’ toys and games. No, it’s not a huge loft – we just really downsized their toys when we moved.
Then we find most of the bedrooms on this level. This is Hannah’s and Cami’s – yes, note the PURPLE fireplace.

Just next to it, you have our bedroom.

This bedroom has a fireplace in it as well, but it’s not in the picture. Guess what color? Blue . . to go with the room color, of course.
Caleb has a little tiny bedroom, which he loves right next to ours, but it is so tiny that we couldn’t even get a picture of it.
Going up one more tiny flight of stairs that turns a couple tight corners on your way up, we will arrive at the top level of our home. Here is another little entrance to the loft toy area and then Emma’s room.

This is supposed to be the master bedroom, but we just didn’t feel comfortable being at the top of the house while the kids were further down. So, Emma lucked out with her dream window seat. Oh, yeah, please don’t notice that the picture is not centered over the bed. The walls are plaster and we can only use the nails or screws already in the walls . . . and that’s where it was.
If you want to look out her window, go ahead. You’ll see our little ‘garden.’

See that little door below the garage? That leads down to a bomb shelter. No, really. During World War II, this area was one of the first hit in England, so this was a very important part of the property.
So, another meaning of settled for us means that we are open for visitors! Just let us know when and we’ll be here!
Now, settled for the kids adds an entirely different meaning into the mix . . . a pet. Not sure how settled we feel for that one . . .
