We are on the tail end of a whirlwind 3 weeks. During that time we have learned:
* It is possible to move overseas with only 2 weeks notice.
* It is humorous (in hindsight) that you can get your first speeding ticket EVER the last full day you are in the United States.
* It is so much easier and faster to let movers come in and pack your stuff.
* Leftover lentil soup is just more enjoyable eating at a pretend table on the floor.

* Boxes make for great hide-and-seek games.

* It only takes an hour to clean an empty house with no furniture.
* The most emotional part of our move was saying goodbye to those in our church branch. We felt so loved and our hearts broke to say goodbye to many we have worked so closely with for the last 3 years.
* Spending the night at the airport hotel makes an early morning at the airport so much easier.
* 7 hours on the plane is not so bad with 4 kids . . . as long as there are individual screens with movies and video games.

* When you move into a previous vacant flat in London during the winter, be sure they turn the heat on before you arrive.
