Tongue Troubles

We all know that Cami is known for her tongue . . . .
[mygal=cami_tongue]

Well, yesterday it became a sad and painful characteristic. While she was playing Cami fell down and bit her tongue. She has done this a few times but the result has never been so scary. She literally sliced her tongue with her top teeth. Thankfully it didn’t go all the way through but it was far enough in and bleeding profusely enough that I was nervous it had. The nurse assured me that the tongue is very quick healing and to just be careful of what gets into the cut so it doesn’t get infected. How do you do that with a 13 month old?! We’ve been having lots of popsicles and liquids! I tried to get a picture of it when she has her tongue out but it’s far enough in that it’s hard to see when you want to and she doesn’t keep it still enough. Her tongue does look a lot better today so hopefully in a week or so she’ll be good as new!

    Poor little cutie! That little tongue is just precious. I’m sure it will heal quickly!

    Oh no! What a sad/scary thing! Did you know that your tongue is actually the second fastest healing part of your body? Yep, it’s true. Good thing for Cami! I hope she gets better soon!
