Every year we revamp our 72-hour kits. Caleb was the one that reminded us this needed to be done and stepped up to the plate to plan it for Family Home Evening this week.
Our run to the store:

This is our schedule of food – so we don’t go through 3 days worth of food in 1 day – in case we DO need to use it!

This event is actually pretty chaotic as we try to direct traffic in getting appropriate clothing from each child. This time we divided and conquered so it was actually a pleasant event. After we unpacked the bags, Chris took the kids to start packing up their food. While he did that, I took care of the clothes, making sure they each had appropriate clothes that would fit for this coming year. By the time the kids were done packing up their food, their clothes/shoes were in their bags and were non-negotiable.
